Connecting Brands Holdings Pty Ltd, trading as Connecting Brands and Connecting Brands Digital (we, us, our), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect

• Details you give us, for example through our contact, Brand Check, onboarding and account forms, by email or by phone: your name, business name, email, phone number, website, location, state, and anything you tell us about your project.
• Business and billing details if you become a customer, such as ABN, addresses and invoicing contacts.
• Website usage information collected with cookies and similar tools: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, how you arrived at the site (for example, from an email or an ad), and IP address.

2. How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, and deliver what you asked for, including a free Online Brand Check report and any follow-up call you request.
• To provide our services, manage your account and invoice you.
• To understand how the website is used and how well our advertising works, so we can improve both.
• To send you marketing emails, only if you have agreed to receive them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
• To protect the website from spam and misuse, and to meet our legal obligations.

3. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses:

• Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and form submissions. We do not send your name, email or phone number to Google Analytics.
• Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API to measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram advertising. When you submit a form, we may send Meta your email address and phone number in a hashed (scrambled) form, along with technical details such as your IP address and browser, so Meta can match the enquiry to an ad. Meta can't read hashed details as plain text.
• Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to monitor site performance.
• Google reCAPTCHA on some forms to block spam. It is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and manage ad preferences in your Meta ad settings.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with other businesses for their own marketing. We use trusted service providers to run our business, who handle information on our behalf:

• Resend (sending emails and managing our mailing list)
• Vercel (website hosting) and Neon (secure database storage)
• Google (Analytics, reCAPTCHA) and Meta (advertising measurement, as described above)
• Our installers and production partners, where needed to deliver your job
• Professional advisers, or authorities where the law requires it

5. Overseas storage

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers with recognised security practices and take reasonable steps to ensure they protect your information.

6. Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we only keep it for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.

7. Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop sending you marketing, at any time. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable time (usually 30 days).

If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can fix it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
